Ionizing radiation is used in a wide range of fields, including medicine and industry. The effects of low-dose radiation on insects and plants in the dose range of 1 mGy to 10 Gy have been studied by many research groups. To conduct research at low doses, an X-ray tube is needed to produce X-rays as a good alternative to gamma rays. Therefore, the study and construction of X-ray tubes are of great importance. In this study, a continuous irradiation ceramic X-ray tube with molybdenum anode in two different thicknesses at an angle of 20 degrees has been simulated. This tube can be used to irradiate samples in the range of several milliGy. Unlike imaging tubes, where the focus diameter of the electron beam is minimized to increase image resolution, in this tube, the electron beam was chosen to be wide with a diameter of 3 cm to facilitate the cooling of the heat generated in the anode. The energy and dose spectra were simulated and compared at different parameters using the MCNPX code.
